چکیده
Author’s response I totally agree with comments by Pitak-Arnnop et al which emphasizes the importance of clinical relevance (though not statistically significant) and 95% CI confidence interval in today's publication process this change of mindset had evolved over many years of education on research & biostatistics. I must clarify that the present article is highlighting the well-known bias of significant P-value publication and hopefully to educate the researchers on this aspect look at the clinical relevance rather than statistical significance. Yes, today, researchers like Pitak-Arnnop et al understood this concept of this poor decision using the P-value and I thank him for adding the important information for the follow-up of this present article (which is constraint by length). The effect of flowable composite lining thickness with various curing techniques on microleakage in class II composite restorations: an in vitro study.
AIM Aim of this study was to compare class II composite restoration using flowable composites as lining with various thickness and curing techniques by evaluating cervical marginal microleakage. MATERIALS AND METHODS Fifty intact molars, each prepared with two box-only class II cavities, were randomly divided into five groups: Group I, P60 filling alone; group II, ultrathin flowable composite...

Aims: This study was performed to compare microleakage in class II composite restorations with flowable composites and dual cure composite resin as intermediate material and also to evaluate the effect of delayed light polymerization of dual cure composite base on microleakage. Materials and methods: Class II box cavities were made with air water spray and divided into four groups. Group 1 was ...
متن کاملEvaluation of microleakage in posterior nanocomposite restorations with adhesive liners
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES To compare the microleakage in class II nanocomposite restorations without liner, with resin-modified glass ionomer liner and flowable composite liner. MATERIALS AND METHODS Thirty-six sound premolars extracted for orthodontic reasons were selected and randomly assigned into three groups of 12 teeth each (Group I, II and III). Class II cavities of specified dimensions were...
متن کاملGingival microleakage in class II composite restorations using different flowable composites as liner: an in vitro evaluation
Introduction: One of the main disadvantages of composites is marginal microleakage using flowable composites as a liner beneath composite restorations has been recommended to reduce microleakage. The aim of this study was to assess the microleakage of class II restorations with different flowable composites liners. Materials & Methods :45 extracted premolars teeth with class II cavity prepar...

متن کاملComparing the Microleakage of Bulk-Fill (flowable, packable) Composite Restorations and Conventional Light-cured Composites
Introduction and aim: Bulk Fill composites have increased polymerization depth and their contraction stress, and cuspal deflection are reduced in comparison with conventional composites. Therefore, it is claimed that their microleakage is reduced. The aim of this study was to compare microleakage of (flowable and packable) Bulk Fill and conventional resin composites. Materials and Methods: Thi...
